Trillium Health Resources understands that our children may be our biggest investment and most valuable resource for the future. Our Safe Schools Healthy Kids NC (SSHKNC) initiative is dedicated to strengthening the role of schools as safe, violence-free and healthy learning environments that support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students of all ages.

Trillium Health Resources is the local governmental agency (LME/MCO) that manages Medicaid and State funds for mental health, substance use, and intellectual/ developmental disability services for 26 counties in eastern North Carolina. Trillium represents Beaufort, Bertie, Brunswick, Camden, Carteret, Columbus, Chowan, Craven, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Hertford, Hyde, Jones, Martin, Nash, New Hanover, Northampton, Onslow, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Pender, Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrrell, and Washington Counties.

Made possible through a grant from the NC Department of Public Education, Trillium is pleased to offer SafeSchoolsHealthyKidsNC.org as a web-based clearinghouse for schools, students and parents to access school safety and student health resource information and training.
